D Christian5 StarMy family has been very happy with the care provided for my mom at Camden!Wednesday 19th February 2025
LoAnn Vo4 StarIt’s rare you will find any nursing facility with good reviews because the truth is that these places are understaffed and truly a difficult place to find true people who care about the elders.
The condition of this place is pretty run down as any other facility will be unfortunately… but the quality of the team here is what matters!
My mom has been transferred to a few facilities due to the care and how atrocious the health and condition of the buildings. She has been with Camden the longest and although it has been a ride, I am grateful for the handful of staff that are genuinely there to offer their kindness and care.
I want to give many thanks to this team here at Camden since we are blessed to have a handful of caring individuals, granted there are always ones that are clearly only there for a paycheck.
From Mark the administrator who was attentive to all of my concerns and assured they are heard.
Josie from social services has been so kind and informative about my moms care/insurance etc. I appreciates that she comes by to my mom’s room to say hi to her.
Most of my mom’s CNAs are amazing and kind to care for her needs. Their efforts in spending time to chat with her and put a smile to her face. My mom is touched by them taking the time to share moments with her sharing about their families etc. it’s very genuine.
Mel, one of my moms nurses is awesome! I love hearing from my mom how he always jokes with her and makes her laugh when he tends to her. Always pleasant with her.
I want to emphasize specifically to Tina the charge nurse that has went beyond what she needed to for me and my mom. Very rare to find a Vietnamese nurse for one and one who is true.
She is extremely knowledgeable, and over extends her time to care for not only my mom but all of her patients. She takes her time with all questions I have and makes sure I always leave knowing all the answers and leaves my mind at ease with my requests and care for my mom.
I see her constantly on her feet running around long shifts serving the same to all of her patients making sure she takes care and acknowledges their needs.
This woman is always working even on her days she tells me she was supposed to take off! So I know she’s dependable and works her butt off.
I truly appreciate her care and nurture for my mom and come to see her a family now.
I can’t go and forget to mention the efforts the staff puts into trying to make this place a fun pleasant place for the patients from creating events/activities and decorating it so it stimulates them and give them something to be excited about. Even planning events that include patient’s families.
I am super grateful for this place. Rare place, rare care. It can always be better, but obviously not possible as this country doesn’t care enough to fund for better elderly care - and that’s not their fault.Sunday 20th August 2023
renee neves5 StarMy sister has been here for almost three years. The staff has always answered any questions I’ve had regarding her care. And of course I’ve had many from the beginning of her stay. The staff have been quite attentive to my sister and have dealt with her health issues promptly when they’ve come up. The social worker, Josie, is typically easily available and responsive and will get back to me as soon as she can regarding everything from health issues to roommate issues to suggesting equipment that may be helpful for my sister’s very unusual health problems. She is a problem solver. I always feel much better after I talk to her about anything. I’ve also had questions for the nurses and they have been willing to assist with anything from getting fresh water or answering questions about my sister’s medication. My sister tells me that they are very comforting if any problem arises. Camden Postacute Care is always clean and I’ve been there many, many times. I appreciate the prompt service they provide and I appreciate the fact that I can find the social worker in her office most of the time and she’s willing to have a chat regardless of what it’s about. That’s very reassuring for a family member such as myself. If there are problems they will be dealt with in a timely manner. I appreciate Camden Postacute Care.Thursday 11th August 2022
Brian B5 StarMy dad stayed here at Camden Postacute Care for around two months. He was very well cared for during this time. The staff are kind, helpful and attentive. I was on the phone with them regularly to help my dad and I only have great things to say. If you're seeking long-term or short-term care, you've found the right place here! This 5 star review was well earned and my thank you to them for being so incredible to my dad!!Wednesday 25th May 2022
Jay Johnson5 StarI came to Camden Postacute on Friday July 7th at 430pm after being in the hospital. I was coming to Camden to help regain some strength and work on my balance and stability.
Upon my arrival, I was not very encouraged by the general overall look of the facility. It is a very dated building with desperate need of renovations in several areas.
Faced with all of this, my wife and I were seriously discussing leaving this facility and taking our chances at home, but then we met the staff and everything soon made sense. First, in Social Services, we may Josie, the most gentle, kind and reassuring person on the entire staff. She was helpful and answered all of my questions no matter how insignificant they may have been. Thank you Josie for everything.
Next we met Tina the head nurse. Tina was efficient and courteous and made sure whenever I was leaving the facility for the day she prepared all of my midday meds and asked if I would be eating dinner or not. Her consistency helped normalize the situation for my wife and me.
In food services we met Vicky. Vicky is personally concerned about what each and every client in this facility eats and drinks. If you have a personal preference as to how you would like your food prepared or if you brought food from outside she will make sure it was reheated properly and brought directly to you. She has a variety of different things to drink and these are available upon request. Just asks one of the extremely helpful CNAs or nurses.
Speaking of nurses, although I never received any substandard treatment from any of them 2 stand out for me. Overnight CNA Vernon and my evening nurses Mel. They we always on schedule to deliver my medication right on time which for my is tricky because I need to take 1 pill 30 minutes before eating, 2 pills as I begin eating and the rest of the meds after I'm finished. Once they got my routine, they executed it flawlessly and without fail. Thank you guys for your outstanding efforts.
Then there was the true stars of the facility, the occupational and physical therapy department lead by Atin, forgive my attempt at the spelling. Atin is an extremely intelligent man who knows his job extremely well. He was in charge of my overall treatment plan but he was also very approachable and friendly and approached my therapy sessions in a way that was more of a game than actually working out. Like most, I hate working out, but he allowed the other two therapist to tailor make sessions just for me.
Speaking of the therapist, Ed and Tony are the best physical and occupational therapist I've ever worked with and I've worked with many. Ed is the occupational therapist and the man flat out knows what he's doing. I told him I was highly motivated and needed to be challenged, and thats the kind of session that he created for me. He also provided loaner equipment for me so I could continue element of my sessions in my room at night. Very helpful and I'm still using those exercises daily and have no plans to stop. Bravo Ed!
The other half of this dynamic duo is Tony the physical therapy. Tony's sessions were not as physically challenging but concentrated on balance and stability. His sessions challenged my mind and balance just as much as Ed challenged my strength. A very good team that work extremely well together. Not sure what these guys make in salary but I guarantee you it's not enough.
I wish I could highlight more individuals but being there only a week, I made excellent progress, instead of the month I had available has made much of my experience a blur and many names were unfortunately missed. However I'd like it to be known that although the looks of the facility might give you pause, I'd advise you to first meet the staff before you make the final decision to stay or not. For me they made all the difference and I was very fond of everyone I came into contact with, for obvious reasons, I hope I never need their services again but if I do, I'll gladly come back for another stay. Thank you Camden Postacute!
